I make a point to follow the best and brightest in creative local wedding planning, and every Sunday I round up my five favorite photos from the last week’s feed. Follow these incredible photographers and vendors on Instagram for more gorgeous inspiration! Up this week? The hugely popular color purple.
As one of the most popular wedding colors, it’s not surprising that my Instagram feed this week was full of this vibrant color. There are so many shades of purple but it seemed that brides chose the violet and lavender shades which matches perfectly with the gorgeous Lupins that are in bloom in our region. This color can be used in weddings at any time of the year with so many different shades so I won’t be surprised to see this hue pop up again throughout the year.

I love it when my clients give me personal accents to add with their wedding flowers! This is a shoebox of vintage lace and satin that belonged to a very special Grandmother of this weekend’s bride. #flowers #vintage #antique #flatlay #flatlayoftheday #wedding #lace #satin #floristlife #somethingold #charlottetownpei #florist #flowerstudio #sakurahsflowerstudio #handmaderibbon #upcycle

“Every wedding must be an occasion of joy that human beings can do such great things, that they have been given such immense freedom and power to take the helm in their life’s journey.” These words opened their wedding ceremony, and spoke so much to me of the day, and of marriage. Elaina and Onsi’s beautiful summer wedding is on the blog, and it is a favorite! Link in profile. #jgpweddings #purplewedding #JGPloveslove
