If you’re like me you spend practically all day on your smart phone and with all this new wedding stuff starting to invade your headspace, why not turn the usual tapping and swiping into productive time and what could be more convenient than to be able to do some wedding planning while you wait in line, lay in bed trying to sleep, or when you’re on your lunch break with some useful apps? While there are a ton of wedding apps out there, I’ve reviewed a number of them and selected the ones I thought were to be the most useful. So, go ahead a check out my top 7 wedding planning apps that are sure to ease the planning burden.
1.Pinterest: For Planning and Inspiration
Starting with the beginning of the wedding planning process, the first of my wedding apps won’t be shocking news to you I’m sure.
If you don’t already you will love Pinterest. Pinterest is an online scrapbooking platform for curating images from around the web and saving the blogposts and websites they come from. It’s the best app for planning your wedding in terms of finding inspiration (join the Pinterest party by following carats and confetti’s Pinterest account) and bookmarking things you find in your own travels around the web.
If you haven’t already downloaded this app, head straight to the app store and download it pronto. Set up your wedding-related boards (I suggest to keep them secret so you don’t spoil the fun for your guests) and start pinning the pretty.

2. Appy Couple: Keeping Your Guests Up-To-Date
Planning a wedding involves a lot of information, not just for you, but for your guests as well. Accommodation and travel options, directions, maps, wedding gift info, etc… The list goes on and on.
Now you can cut all of this out with one amazing app. Just create an account, and share an invite with your guests, who also download the app for free, and they have all the info they need on this beautiful little app.

3. Postable: Collecting Addresses For Invitations
I soooo wish I knew about Postable when the hubby and I were planning our wedding. One of the most tedious and time consuming admin jobs during the entire wedding planning process is most definitely something that a lot of people don’t think about-collecting addresses to send your beautiful wedding invitations. It can take forever, lots of calls to parents and repeated messages to friends.
Lucky for you friend you can avoid this huge headache and rely on Postable. Postable takes away that pain in one easy step – simply create a free account, add in your guest’s email addresses, then send them the standard mail which asks them to fill in a simple form.
You can kick up those pretty heels, pour yourself a glass of wine and just watch your list fill up. It’s like having your own admin who takes care of the silly tasks leaving you time to do the fun stuff.

4. Top Table Planner: Designing Your Table Plan
I’m not going to sugarcoat it. There are a few wedding planning tasks that are just not fun. One of those is doing your seating chart or table plans. If you’ve ever organized a big event you’ll know how brutal it is swapping people around on an Excel spreadsheet or a big white board, and if you haven’t ever done a seating chart, then save yourself this headache with Top Table Planner.
With this brilliant app you simply paste in your list of guests (hello, Postable!) and drag and drop them onto tables. You can do it as many times as you want until you’re happy – it solves those last minute hiccups (you will always have a couple of problem guests in the last few days). When you’re finished simply print out the table plan diagram and the list of names with the associated table numbers/names and hand to your venue.

5. Spotify: Perfecting the Playlist
If you’re planning on playing DJ and DIY-ing your music at any point of the wedding, then Spotify is the app for you. I love Spotify for creating and sharing playlists. Whether it’s a little light classical playlist for during cocktail hour or if you just need some tunes while you get ready for your big day, Spotify is a great app to set the mood.

6. Wedding Snap: Collecting Guests’ Photographs
Attend any wedding today and you’ll notice mobile phones and tables in people’s hands capturing everything in sight. These random recordings are awesome don’t get me wrong for offering a unique perspective on the day but unfortunately they usually stay on someone else’s device. This is where the app Wedding Snap steps in. The wedding app is designed to collect all those photos and videos from your guests to make sure you catch all of those fun moments your guests enjoyed and see the day from their perspective.
