Today’s real wedding is such a fun one! Amy and Cory are such a lovely couple, who planned beautiful New Brunswick wedding. With the laid-back and romantic Blueberry Hill Farms as their backdrop, the couple were able to keep things simple, with a gorgeous outdoor wedding and a food-filled reception in the barn-with lots of laughs in between.
With a gorgeous lace gown for Amy, a smart black suit for her groom Cory, a group of thrilled guests, and lots of pretty touches throughout, there was no shortage of special moments for Sharlie Faye Photography to capture.
From the photographer: “There is a lot I could say about Amy & Corey but I know that 5000 words wouldn’t even cut it. The moment I met them, I knew they were going to be more than just clients to me. The energy they give off is a mix between love and passion. The way they look at each other is something everyone dreams of having one day. It is pure perfection. I have had the chance to work with them twice; their engagement session and their wedding.”
“Before I tell you about their engagement session, I need to tell you a little bit about the proposal. Corey has to be the biggest sweetheart. He is so caring and down to earth and I know for a fact that he wanted his proposal to be perfect and in Amy’s eyes, it was.”
“Every year at the Zoo in Moncton, they have something called “Christmas at the Zoo”. Corey thought that would be a great place to ask Amy to marry him. He was so nervous throughout the whole evening and Amy had noticed too but couldn’t tell what was wrong even though they had been together for years. Finally, he got the courage to get down on one knee and ask her without tearing up too much, if she would marry him. As he did that, he opened up the ring box and as soon as Amy saw the ring, she couldn’t help but burst out laughing.”
“SO many thoughts went through his mind at that very moment, more thoughts than a person should be able to process within a time span of 5 seconds. After she finished laughing, she said “yes” but he had to ask, why was she laughing? When Corey picked out the ring, he bought the engagement ring and the wedding band as a package but what no one told him was you are actually supposed to purpose with the engagement ring and not the wedding band. Amy found it hilariously cute that his proposal was so well thought out except for this one part. His embarrassment quickly subsided when he had realized what he had just done but she had still said “yes” even though she hadn’t even seen the real ring yet and that alone meant the world to him.”
“Their engagement session was woodsy and breezy so it was only fitting that they have an outdoor barn wedding. Blueberry Hill Farms is one of my favourite wedding venues in the maritimes. The rustic and country feel to the area is beautiful and if you really want your wedding “unplugged” then this is the perfect spot to do it as there is no cellphone reception. You are really able to be a part of every moment of the day without the interruption of social media alerts and text messages. Everything about the day was gorgeous. Amy and her girls made their own bouquets and when we all got to the reception space, we couldn’t believe how nicely it had been decorated.”
“My advice to all brides and brides to be out there is don’t sweat the small things. Amy & Corey are a great example. There were bumps in the road when it came to the proposal, the planning and the wedding itself but what you are going to remember for the rest of your life is that you married your best friend and there is nothing in the world that can ruin that for you.”
